Founded by Dr. Steven Sanet, D.O as an educational means to demonstrate the knowledge of Osteopathy, a drugless therapy.
Osteopathic medicine offers an alternative to those suffering from pain and illness within the current healthcare system. As a physician and an educator, Dr. Sanet and our faculty have taught thousands of healthcare professionals on every continent gentle, osteopathic techniques that allow the body to heal itself.
The Osteopathic College of Ontario is conducting a comprehensive program in Osteopathic Manipulation. The Diplomate in Osteopathic Manipulative Theory & Practice is an intensive program that can be completed in three years.
This program is designed specifically for existing healthcare practitioners. The program is built around fourteen three-day quanta given four times per year plus four weeks of individualized clinical training.
Our program combines hands-on training, active clinical training in an osteopathic clinic and online home study to give the practitioner a full 2288 hour program. The program will be completed with each student presenting a clinical thesis. The thesis is prepared under the tutelage of a chosen professor.
The clinical training and thesis distinguishes our program and are essential components which afford our students the most complete classical osteopathic education.
The Program is essentially set up with four start dates this allows practitioners to explore and complete segments of the program as they see fit with or without completing the Diplomate on a schedule more suited to individual need.
The Osteopathic College of Ontario in conjunction with the Osteopathic Health & Wellness Institute in the United States (OHWI) are conducting this International Diplomate Program in Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Jordan, South Korea, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Cameroon.
